Hi, I’m Ms. Swanson.

I have over a decade of experience teaching high school math both virtually and in the classroom. Algebra 1 is my favorite course to teach and I taught Algebra 1 every year!

I hold a Pennsylvania Instructional II Teaching Certificate in Mathematics 7-12 (as well as a few other subjects), Masters degree in the Science of Instruction with a Math Concentration from Drexel University & I also have a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching & Learning from Baker University.

I love teaching because I love helping students become successful and reach their goals.

The last few years that I was in the classroom, my Algebra 1 teacher results on the Pennsylvania Keystone Exam were in the top 5% of educators in the state even though I taught in a low-income Title 1 school district. I am proud of this because I worked hard to get results for my students. I believe that all students are capable of success in math - it just takes the right classroom environment, the right curriculum, and the right instruction.

That’s why I created my Algebra 1 courses: to impact more students and help them to be successful in Algebra 1 and beyond!
